I just started one on my list that I'm thinking is not going to be one of my favorites. It's a short book and I think even though I might like it my students might so I'm going to push through. A Boy Called Bat was my favorite from my list. I had been eagerly waiting for it, too!Lisa Maucionehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17391834262945101696noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4703055290784358034.post-74538592830808523382017-04-07T10:16:47.229-04:002017-04-07T10:16:47.229-04:00This is why I try and read most of the titles on m...This is why I try and read most of the titles on my list. I aim for anywhere between 65 and 80% and if I do this, amazing! The list keeps me on track but sometimes, a book is definitely not a fit.Carrie Gelsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08416480940951200461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4703055290784358034.post-3222634457231892472017-04-07T09:41:40.235-04:002017-04-07T09:41:40.235-04:00I enjoyed your update. I'm going to give you credit for the books you tried but you couldn't love. That's a reader's right to abandon a book. After all, we can't fall in love with every book we read. I am still trying to decide whether to get back to them. I am hoping that reading it at a later time might make it click. I would like to embrace Cheriee's philosophy: if you give it a good try and it doesn't work, consider it read. So I might try that! I just requested that my library purchase A Boy Called Bat.Elisabeth Ellingtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00747914394861199796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4703055290784358034.post-44979386212652973702017-04-07T01:32:29.914-04:002017-04-07T01:32:29.914-04:00If I give a book a good try, and it just doesn'...If I give a book a good try, and it just doesn't work for me, I consider it read. Life is too short, and there are so many books to read, to force ourselves to read books we don't like. I've even tried books at different times. Only once did this work and I ended up loving that book. Cheriee Weichelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15662398117320256935noreply@blogger.com
